The BIMI certificate has expired

CODE RED

BIMI · Critical · costs 40 points · BIMI draft 14, section 7.1

What it means

The mark certificate for example.com expired N days ago. Every provider that checks it has already stopped showing your logo, and nothing in DNS says so: the record still looks perfectly valid.

How to fix it

Renew the certificate with your CA and publish the new PEM at the a= URL. Mark certificates are issued for a year and renewal is not automatic.

Check your own domain

This page describes the condition. To find out whether your domain has it, run the BIMI test or the full checkup, which examines every record at once.

Understand it properly

This page covers one condition. For the whole picture, BIMI, defined, or start at the Health Library.

Where this comes from

We judge this against BIMI draft 14, section 7.1. Every finding on this site cites the specification behind it so you can check the work rather than take our word for it.
