DNSSEC validation is failing
CODE REDWhat it means
Signatures for example.com do not validate. Validating resolvers, which includes Google, Cloudflare and most large mail providers. Refuse the answers entirely, so the domain stops resolving for a large part of the internet.
How to fix it
This is an emergency: check whether the DS record at your registrar still matches the key at your DNS host. A key rotation that only happened on one side is the usual cause.
Check your own domain
This page describes the condition. To find out whether your domain has it, run the DNSSEC test or the full checkup, which examines every record at once.
Understand it properly
This page covers one condition. For the whole picture, DNSSEC, defined, or start at the Health Library.
Where this comes from
We judge this against RFC 4035 section 5. Every finding on this site cites the specification behind it so you can check the work rather than take our word for it.
